The minimum is the number that matters
Dandy's entry tier requires $1,000 of lab spend a month. Eight zirconia crowns at $99 come to $792, so you would pay the remaining $208 anyway to reach the floor. The same eight crowns with us cost $440, and there is no floor.
If you already own a scanner
Dandy's offer is genuinely good if you don't own one: the hardware is subsidised by your lab spend. If you do, you are paying a monthly floor for hardware you don't need. We take iTero, TRIOS, Medit, Primescan, Carestream or a plain STL, at the same price.
Scan review before milling
Dandy runs AI scan review inside its own platform. SnapCheck is a person looking at your scan, with a median of seven minutes, on whatever scanner sent it, at no cost.
Dandy offers 3D design approval: you review a design before it is manufactured. It is a nice feature.
We put a person on your scan before anything is milled, and we remake any case that doesn't seat at no charge. If signing off every design yourself matters more, Dandy is the one to pick.
How to decide
Take last month's lab invoice, count the units by material, and price the same mix against both lists. Dandy quotes a 5-day turnaround; ours averages 10 days, and SnapFast gives you a written date in 7 business days when a case can't wait. Under about $1,000 a month in lab spend, the minimum alone usually decides it.
